You can help achieve this milestone and have Nevada County students show up for their first day a school proud of their new backpacks and supplies. Contribute in whatever way you want -- donate an empty backpack or one filled with supplies; donate just supplies or make a cash donation. Biggest need is for supplies - especially binders and markers - and cash donations to fill packs on hand by July 15!
It’s easy peasy to donate!
The County has introduced two new ways in addition to local purchases for you to participate in our cause. You can either visit our Amazon wish list linked below to donate much-needed items or contribute directly to our fundraising page, also linked below, to make a cash donation. Every contribution, whether big or small, helps us make a difference in the lives of local children.
Three ways to participate:
- Purchase locally.Buy a backpack and/or school supplies from a local store and take to a drop off location. The County has drop off bins located at The Grass Valley Library, The Madelyn-Helling Library, The Rood Center lobby, and the Grass Valley Association.
- Amazon Wish List: Here When you get to shipping options, check the Nevada County Child Support Services address and it will ship directly to them!
- Community Beyond Violence CBV Fundraising Site: Here
The backpacks collected will be distributed to various local non-profits dedicated to serving low-income children. Additionally, if we receive enough donations to support it, we plan to host another drive-through giveaway, ensuring that every child has the essential supplies they need to succeed in school.
Thank you for your interest and support!
