A fascinating program is planned for this week at Bodhi-Hive, 12:15pm Thursday 8/28…
Nevada County Historical Society with film and slides by presenters Dom Landers and Dakota Stroh. 
 
At our just-past Thursday Social we learned from SAEL educator Scott Young about a very unique non-profit ‘changing lives, one (small) loan at a time'… KIVA.org. Thanks for Louise, Nicole (gift!), Carolyn (introduction), Dennis, Paula, Andrea, Robin, Toms times two, Chris, Judy and George, Walt, Cathy, Ken, Stacy, and special guest Dave Robinson (49er Rotary member) making the meeting.  
 
We had Ladybugs by the hundreds (for the Pumpkin farm) and Egyptian Walking onion seeds (offered by Tom Milam) with us as well!!! 
 
Miles, Paul, Noel, Dave and Gayle (Hawaii!), Chief Dan, Tally, Lynda, John, Steven, Carolyn, Nancy, Mai, Alison, Karen, Lynn, and Kim ... You were there in Spirit;  Love to see you Alive and Well, too!

2025 Paws and A Cause

Pawsome plans coming together!

Tickets go on sale this week and we are preparing to launch our Paws Out and About Photo Contest.
 
We have bandanas, tickets, Out and About Photo Contest Posters, and a life size blow up of Lassie and Timmy. T-Shirts are on order!
 
We are going to need additional pop up tents for 3 checkin locations, Auction items, Doggie Corner, and Timmy.  If you have one, please let Robin know! 
 
All hands on deck September 27!  
 
We meet every 1st and 3rd Thursday at 4pm at Round Table. Next meeting is Sept 4 on site at Round Table.
 
Happy National Dog Day - Tomorrow August 26 to all our Canine's and best friends!

Calling creative artists ~ and want-a-be's!

Want to paint pumpkins? SIGN UP for Pumpkin Painting Workshops: 
Saturday, September 13, 2:30-5:30pm
& Thursday September 18, 5:30-8:00pm. 
 
Merchants can sign up to showcase our painted pumpkins!
 
Our Pumpkins Palooza - Family Fun and Pumpkin Auction Event is planned for Thursday, October 15 at Miners Foundry Cultural Center.

Imagination Library Launched

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Nevada County — Now Accepting Enrollments!

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Nevada County officially launched August 1, 2025, and is now accepting enrollments for children ages 0-5! Over 400 children were enrolled during the Nevada County Fair thanks to the Children's Activity booth run by First 5 Nevada County.
