Our guest speaker David Sundstrom, representing ShelterBox, enlightened us with a projected presentation and his personal involvement. ShelterBox exists to ensure No One is without shelter after a disaster with their motto: Transforming Despair into Hope.
Formed in the United Kingdom in 2000 it includes efforts by the USA, Canada, Australia/New Zealand and all through Europe. And interestingly, they project-partner with Rotary International with the strategy 2022-2027 to Do more. Do it well. Do it together. They have helped more than 3 million people and report that there are some 100 million folks still displaced.
Guest attendee David (heard about us from Paws!), along with Cathy, Walt, Tom Ryan, Tom Milam, Robin, Ken, John, Dennis, Carolyn, Nicole (with our speaker gift!), Gayle (welcome back), Louise, Lynda, Jim, and Kelly welcomed Mr Sundstrom and enjoyed birthday cake (and song) celebrating our 90th Anniversary.

Amazing painted pumpkins adorn windows and shelves around Nevada City and beyond. This week we move to Wed, October 15at Miners Foundry Cultural Center for our Pumpkins Palooza Family Fun & Pumpkin Auction Event. Come prepared to bid on your favorites in both live and silent auctions!
Ifyou have painted pumpkins, bring them to Miners Foundry on October 15 by 3pm for our auction. Connect with Cathy to volunteer. Staggered setup starts at 2pm, with primary setup from 3-5pm for 5:30pm celebration start time!
