Dear fellow Rotarians and friends,

Earlier this month Louise shared personal stories as a teacher and education administrator revealing celebrations and challenges on Any Given Day. Somehow the cancellation of this coming Freshman Football season is another of those revelations! Read below and note that our 5th Thursday Night social at Freshman NU Football is not happening. We will be dark this coming week.

We hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We look forward to seeing you at our regular 1st Thursday Social at Round Table Pizza on September 7.

Rotary Night at Freshman NU Football

ALERT Thursday Night Lights - August 31 CANCELLED

YES you read that right!!

The Freshman Football Game at NU on August 31 was cancelled by the opponent (Rio Linda) because they double scheduled themselves for that night.

Good News is we win - they lose. It's a forfeit. Bad news is it takes out our planned Rotary Social.

Nevada City Rotary, this is our 5th Thursday so we will be dark, aka no meeting!

Pumpkins are bulging on the vines! Join us on Tuesday mornings to care for our plants and work on irrigation from 7:30 a.m. (or what time works for you) until about 9:30 a.m. Contact Cathy if you help Tuesdays or OTHER DAYS at BakBraken Acres at 14283 Judy Lane (off Powerline) in Chicago Park.
