The Curious Forge opened wide it’s doors to us last Thursday afternoon. Liam and Cara, proprietors, gave an overview of this 20,000 square foot Arts Center/MakerSpace and then off we went on a tour. Their motto:

With 180 members (16 years and older) and 29 volunteers, it is well worth it to visit their Curious Forge web site to see all the options. Open 9-9 M-F, 9-6 weekends. “Nothing more makery than sewing!” (And about twenty other options.) Carolyn, Lynda, John, Karen, Tom Milam, Chris, and about a dozen folks from other Rotary Clubs and guests with son John and myself saw hands on, first hand.

Rotary Club of Grass Valley South is hosting a Poker Run on Saturday, October 11. The event is the creativity of President-Elect Lauren Engelking and we’d love for all of you to join us on this inaugural adventure. Attached are all the details regarding the event and how to register.
With World Polio Day on October 24, GV South Rotary is partnering with Brewhaus for Pints for Polio. They will donate $1 for every pint sold on Sunday’s in October.
As with all Rotary clubs, ideas like this are ways for us to connect with each other, support and raise $$$$ for our youth, community needs etc.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Nevada County continues to expand enrollments for children ages 0-5! Books will shipping any day now to over 500 Nevada County children. A big shout out to our lead partners, Dolly Parton Imagination Library and First 5 Nevada County and the generous donations from our community!
