A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO DONATED FOOD and/or MONEY!
Nevada City Rotary donated over 1,200 pounds of food and equivalent monetary donations during the Area 4 "Inaugural Nevada County Rotary Food Drive."
Thanks to the collective efforts of our Area 4 clubs, in just two weeks we raised $5,815 and collected more than 1,300 pounds of food to support local families facing food insecurity. 49er Rotary, raised the most food with 3,372 pounds and will receive a custom-engraved Rotary Food Drive Bell to keep until next year's challenge. Grass Valley Rotary was second with 2,168 pounds.
More importantly, we enjoy the exhileration of seeing much-needed food collections come in to restock the depleted shelves at the Food Bank of Nevada County tohelp serve our community’s food needs through challenging times!
Board Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month. Our next Board meeting is January12 at 5:30pm via Zoom.
