This is the last message Karen and I will be sending as our Co-Presidency draws to a close. What a “Demotion” Celebration you gave us. There are no words to express how touched and thankful we are for each of you – your friendship, your caring, your enthusiasm, and your generosity.
We all celebrated, but, as you know, our year does not officially end until June 30, 2024. This year was filled with laughter, tears, highs, lows, accomplishments, and disappointments. But, through it all, you gave of your time, talents, and treasure and made sure our Club came through intact and thriving. Together you helped “Create Hope in the World” while demonstrating “Rotary from the Heart.” Give yourselves a pat on the back!
We return to Creekside Nevada City and inspiring stories from Los Barriles this week. Please RSVP with your meal choice!

Thank you in advance for being Rotarians in Action! Questions or want to signup the old fashioned way, contact Cathy (2cwb@sbcglobal.net or (530) 263-2496) and she’ll add you to the list.

Once again, Nevada County Child Support Services, in collaboration with Community Beyond Violence, is thrilled to announce our 4th Annual Backpack and School Supply Drive! Last year Nevada City and other Rotarians donated backpacks, supplies and cash to support the Annual Backpack and School Supply Drive. The drive distributed 198 backpacks. This year, their goal is to reach 300 backpacks.
You can help achieve this milestone and have Nevada County students show up for their first day a school proud of their new backpacks and supplies. Contribute in whatever way you want -- donate an empty backpack or one filled with supplies; donate just supplies or make a cash donation. Biggest need is for supplies - especially binders and markers - and cash donations to fill packs on hand by July 15!
Board Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month. Our next meeting will be July 8 at 4:00pm via Zoom with President Louise and our new Board!
Not a Board member but want to join us? Contact Robin or reply to this Rotario for instructions. All club members are encouraged to attend a meeting. Location subject to change, please ask.
