We were dark on Thursday, May 29, for our 5th Thursday. I am quite excited about June and the end of our Rotary year.
It is fitting that the Rotary International theme for June is Fellowship. Through fellowship we cultivate connections in our clubs, in our communities and around the world. In my vocation, high school education, June is a time of graduations, memories and cherishing those connections we have with others. This time of the year brings me gratitude for all of our Nevada City Rotarians and friends.
We will return to Round Table Pizza for our social at 5:30 on June 5. We will hear from Jan Maes about Sierra Energy Reimagined. For those eager to participate in planning our 2025 Paws and A Cause event, join us at 4:00pm ahead of our Club social at Round Table on Thursday.
On June 12, in lieu of our lunch meeting, Rotary Rob and I will get to graduate from our magical Rotary year! See details and RSVP below! And, we continue to contribute to our community and our earth with our 3R Event: Recycle and Repurpose Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Batteries on Saturday, June 14 from 10:00 – 2:00 at Dave’s Auto Repair 747 Zion Street. Big thanks to Dave! Let’s get busy finding those old tablets, phones and other rechargeable devices lying around.
Nevada City Rotary presents the Three "R" Event: Recycle & Repurpose Rechargeable Lithium Ion Batteries
Coming June 14! Clean out your drawers and tool sheds. Our 4th annual Three “R” event to collect, recycle and repurpose rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and devices is rapidly approaching on Saturday, June 14. In partnership with Redwood Materials, we are hosting the collection from 10am-2pmat Dave’s Auto, 747 Zion St across from SPD in Nevada City.
The public can drop off Lithium-ion rechargeable devices and batteries for recycling by Redwood Materials. Materials and essential minerals from recycled batteries are used to make new rechargeable batteries. We will collect cellphones, tablets, laptops, electric toothbrushes, e-shavers, vapes, wireless headphones, Bluetooth speakers, power tool batteries, video game controllers, etc.
This is not an electronic e-waste event. Please only bring rechargeable devices and batteries identified on the flyer,

Not a Board member but want to join us? Contact Robin or reply to this Rotario for instructions. All club members are encouraged to attend a meeting. Location subject to change, please ask.
