Our Board met at the Adler residence on “Dark” Thursday July 31, 2025. How very gracious they were to provide delish grub and beverages as we put the coming 2025-26 Nevada City Rotary year into focus. Dennis, Lynda, Robin, Chris, Tom, Walt, Cathy and Miles and I detailed the Budget and prepared for the District Governor visit on August 14, at the Bodhi-Hive 12:15 lunch-time meeting. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Nevada County — Now Accepting Enrollments!
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Nevada County officially launched August 1, 2025, and is now accepting enrollments for children ages 0-5! On Thursday, July 30th, Andrea Mason, Co-Chair of the Youth Services Committee and Melody Easton, Executive Director for First 5 Nevada County went on the air at KNCO with Tom Fitzsimmons during the On the Town segment to discuss the program, its benefits, and to let the community know how they can get involved, whether it's by enrolling their children in the program or helping to support this program for years to come.
Nevada City Rotary Club and Foundation partnered with the Dollywood Foundation last Fall, and with the quick addition of First 5 Nevada County as a community partner and administrative lead, we have worked tirelessly to raise the funds needed to get the program going. Nearly a year later, we are excited to officially launch and start getting high-quality books into the homes of all Nevada County children 0-5 every month.
Our most sincere gratitude to all who have contributed to get this program up and running!
