Dear Nevada City Rotarians and friends,

I hope you’ve had a good week; the weather certainly was interesting. Doug and I are just back home from a week of traveling with our family – Monterey (beach and aquarium) and Manteca (Great Wolf Lodge water slides/hotel) and ending at home, filling the house with kids, adults, and dogs. Such fun! Such noise!

We have many items on our club calendar to keep us busy these next two months! For example, you can enjoy a beautiful fall morning helping to clean up the Wildflower Ridge Trail! And take a look at the training the first Saturday in October – you will have a chance to hear some great presentations. There is even a baseball game this coming Friday evening supporting the bid for the Rotary International Conference to come to San Francisco

This Thursday, we will have our social meeting at Round Table Pizza with our Area 4 Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) student, Milton, a final send off to our Global Scholar, Wrenn Cleary, and IPDG (Immediate Past District Governor) Jeff Gabriel is bringing the Club of the Year trophy to present to our club at the meeting.

In Rotary Service,

Karen

Doug, Karen, and Cathy

These honors are based on the depth and breadth of our projects, especially environmental leadership, our new Interact Club, leveraging projects through District grants, our new membership growth, and much more. Congratulations to all of you for the many accomplishments we have achieved together this year.
