What a week I’ve had – with our principal away at Science Camp for the junior high students, I got to be the jack of all trades. Teaching Fifth Grade on Monday, Fourth Grade on Tuesday, a meeting in Sacramento on Thursday, and then not feeling well on Friday and now through the weekend! We’ll see how Monday goes!
Enough about me…
Thanks to Cathy for running Thursday’s meeting. I heard she did a fine job! And the speaker, Gina Vanacore from Pioneer Community Energy, was timely and interesting!
Congratulations to Nicole and Tom on receiving their Paul Harris Fellow +3 pins for their contributions to The Rotary Foundation. We have a few more pins yet to present soon, too, according to Foundation Chair Lynda. We also had 3 guests attend this week, Andrea Mason (third meeting), Steven Holt (second meeting) and Elizabeth Smiraglia (first meeting) – all prospective members!
I noticed a nice story about Kelly in The Union this week, and heard that Chris has returned from Greece, so I’m sure they have some good stories to share soon.
This week we meet on Thursday evening at Round Table for our social. Ken Ching will be sharing about his work and personal life and I’m looking forward to that.
Robin has some good info in the stories below, so please read on. See you Thursday.
If you missed our Pumpkins for Polio Pond Party, you missed out on some really good farm fresh foods (plus extras). Cathy's fresh baked blackberry and raspberry scones with berry sauces and crème fraîche were exceptionally delicious!
