Thank you to Robin for her craft talk on Thursday evening at our social. From the tech world to leading eco tours in Yellowstone and South America, she had many exciting stories to share.

A great time was had serving hot dogs and even participating in the color run!

Nevada City Rotary, this is our 5th Thursday! Louise, thank you for organizing!
Our local law enforcement agencies know how to throw a fabulous community party! Chief Dan and Nevada City Police Department (NCPD) fired up their awesome new grill and recruited Nevada City Rotarians to assist with cooking and distributing all sorts of goodies to kids and friends. Cathy had baked and baked cookies that were served up along with over 500 hot dogs provided by Nevada City Police! Plus NCPD’s cardboard police cars and mini handcuffs were big hitters as was Nevada City’s newest officer K-9 Ruby, a young bloodhound.
Crowds of locals joined in the merriment that came to a climax with the KidsColorFunRun! Cathy and Robin joined in the fun run of the Colors on behalf of Nevada City Police and Nevada City Rotary. Kids of all ages ran the course throughout Memorial Park while officers and community partners shot out canisters and threw buckets of brightly color chalk on anyone around! Then a waterhose from a fire truck doused the runners!
Pumpkins are starting to bulge on the vines! Join us on Tuesday mornings to care for our plants and work on irrigation from 7:30 a.m. (or what time works for you) until about 9:30 a.m. Contact Cathy if you help Tuesdays or OTHER DAYS at BakBraken Acres at 14283 Judy Lane (off Powerline) in Chicago Park.
Board Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month. Our next meeting will be August 14 at 4:00pm via Zoom.
Not a Board member but want to join us? Contact Robin or reply to this Rotario for instructions. All club members are encouraged to attend a meeting. Location subject to change, please ask.
