Dear Fellow Rotarians and Friends,

Nevada City loves a parade and Nevada City Rotary had a great afternoon with Andrea, Pearce, Walt, Dolly, Lassie and Timmy, John, Paula, Stacy, Tom Milam, Cathy, Robin, Tom Ryan with photo-bashful Allie, and Gloria. Fun visibility for our Dolly Pardon Imagination Library, Pumpkins for Polio Palooza, and Paws and A Cause projects.

And of course our esteemed President HW Bush!

At Bodhi-Hive on Thursday, our program will be a final walkthru of the program and plans for Paws and A Cause on Saturday.

Judy and her expanded team of talented artists — including our own members — continue to paint pumpkins.  The two workshops were fun and yielded some fabulous pumpkins. If you can paint more let Cathy and Judy know ASAP. A selection of painted pumpkins go on display in local shops and businesses on October 1 ahead of our Oct 15 Pumpkin Palooza!

And thank you John Boyer Productions for our photos!

Peace, Pearce

2025 Pumpkins for Polio

The creativity around pumpkins is in the air!

What a fun painting pumpkins for our Pumpkins Palooza.  October 1 you’ll start seeing them around Nevada City in the lead up to our October 15 Palooza Family Celebration and Pumpkin Auction.

Painting Workshops are complete but the painting continues!  Most of our artists have pumpkins at home that we are finishing and will bring them to Miners Foundry on October 15 for our auction. Additional painted pumpkins are needed. Please see Giudita if you can paint additional pumkins!

Merchants can sign up to showcase our painted pumpkins! Click for details on our Pumpkins Palooza - Family Fun and Pumpkin Auction Event planned for Thursday, October 15 at Miners Foundry Cultural Center.
