Thank you for a wonderful first Social gathering of the year – so many folks joined us at Round Table Pizza last Thursday. Many of you signed up for the opportunity to lead the pledge and give the Thought for the Day at our lunch meetings and to give “Craft Talks” at our Social meetings -- thank you.
Then on Saturday, our Social and Membership Committees put on a wonderful “Patio Patter” at the beautiful home of Giudita (Judy) Soldavini and George Roberts. Committee chairs shared their excitement about what their committee is planning to accomplish this year and got lots of volunteer help.
This Thursday’s lunch meeting will be the kickoff for our formal lunch meetings. We will be joined by the other Area 4 Club Presidents – a tradition at the first formal Rotary meetings of the year. Several of our committees will be giving us a quick preview of year to come. Be sure to order your lunch on our website. You are now able to pay for your lunch in advance on the website – look for the pay button on the RSVP form. Please add a dollar/meal for the convenience of using the pay-online feature.
The first Board meeting of the year is schedule for Monday at 4PM by Zoom. Let Robin or me know if you’d like to attend and need a Zoom link – we’d be happy to have you there.

Nevada City Rotary’s 5th question of the 4-Way Test: “Is it Fun?”
Our first ever Patio Patter co-hosted by our Club Services and Membership Committees was fun and informative for all! A great way to welcome and engage our new members more fully! A big thank you to Giudita and George for opening their beautiful home and bountiful garden and to Cathy and Giudita for the scrumputous treats. Each of our committee chairs presented highlights and invitations to actively participate.
This year’s Committee Chairs and contacts are listed on Club Officers page. Click Patio Patter for more photos from the day.
Many of our Rotary friends have asked me “When are we going to do another river cruise together like we did in 2016?” A cruise with all our Rotary friends was the best experience possible. I have put together 4 different cruises that you may like. If you are interested, contact PDG Anita by July 15!

Tyler Soule is the owner operator and our host. Being “Born” into a rafting family, Tyler has been rafting all his life and is one of the most recognized “Big Water” Class 5 guides in the industry. All his guides share his rafting passion and are extremely competent and a joy to be with too.
