Welcome to the Rotary Club of Nevada City

There's something that all Rotary club members have in common: We take action. As community volunteers, we reach out to neighbors in need. We build, support, and organize. We save lives. We work locally and globally.

The main objective of Rotary is service -- in the community, the workplace and the world. Around the world and around the corner, the 1.2 million men and women of Rotary
  • Get involved in our communities
  • Connect with other professionals
  • Share their time and experience with young people
  • Support global causes, such as eradicating polio
  • Use our skills to help others
Rotary is not just an organization. It is a medicine for the soul, a family we choose, not inherit,
and a gift we give to ourselves and the world!
Past President Cathy Wilcox-Barnes.

Whether you're a veteran volunteer or new to community service, we are looking for people like you. Contact us for more information about Rotary and how to join us.

Our Club in Action
Area 4 Rotary Clubs of Western Nevada County are gearing up to collect and refurbish musical instruments for middle school students.
The Rotary Club of GV South is the lead on this project. In late January, GV South President Laura Armacher and her partner, Buckley, traveled to the Bay Area to pick up inventory from a music store in the East Bay that has closed. Local Kiwanian, Patrick Donaghey, has arranged this wonderful donation for us. The project is supported by an Area-wide District 5190 grant.

The first collection day will be from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, February 8 at Lyman Gilmore School. Please contact our Youth Services Committee Chair, Andrea Mason, at andreaemason@protonmail.com if you have questions, instruments you want to donate or to volunteer.
