13th Annual Radio Auction

The Nevada City Rotary Club welcomes this opportunity to tell you about our 13th Annual Radio Auction on March 20, 2010. Our theme is "Focus on Youth" and 100% of the proceeds are used to support key education and leadership development activities for young people in our community. Last year’s auction raised more than $18,000 for local youth funding scholarships as well as outreach programs.

Since 1997, the citizens and businesses of Nevada County have donated goods and services to support the Nevada City Rotary Radio Auction. This year you have 2 opportunities to impact the auction bottom line.

  1. One way is to fill in the donation form using the link above if you are not already a donor. If the donation is over $300.00, KNCO News Talk AM830 will provide no less than 5 radio spots prior to the auction advertising your donated goods or services. All donations will be included in a circular in The Union that will be distributed before the auction and will be listed on this website. In addition, all donors are given posters that can be placed, as appropriate, at your place of business. This alerts your customers both to the Radio Auction as well as your generosity in supporting our community and local youth.
  2. The second opportunity will be to tune in to KNCO on March 20th between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM to bid on an item, or a few items, and help the Nevada City Rotary have a record Radio Auction. The auction will include a wide range of goods and services. Take a moment to review the circular when it comes out and also read how the Nevada City Rotary Club will distribute the funds raised during the auction to further education and more in the coming year. Please remember to bid early, bid often, and bid high. Each and every dollar you spend will support the youth of our community.
